Towergate strengthen management team to underpin growth in East Midlands

Towergate Risk Solutions Nottingham has made two senior level appointments in order to underpin their plans for future growth in the East Midlands region.

Nicola Pollicott has joined as financial controller and Richard Lloyd has been appointed as operations manager.

Nicola has spent 27 years working in industry and has held a wide variety of accounting roles. Using this experience she will ensure the business has access to timely and accurate management information in order to continually improve customer service. She lives in Oxton with her new husband and stepson and enjoys reading and walking her dogs.

Richard’s role is to manage all business operations to increase customer retention, improve processes and streamline efficiency.

He has over 22 years experience in various insurance broking and operational roles and previously worked as a broking manager for a Lincolnshire based broker. He has two children and enjoys cycling, football and watching films.

Towergate opened its Nottingham office in 2005 and is actively seeking growth in 2011 through acquisition. The appointment of two new managers increases employee numbers to 44 and will enable Managing Director Sally Swann to focus on business development and integration.

Commenting, Sally said, “The downturn in the economy has led to severe pricing pressure and has squeezed broker margins from both the insurer and the client perspective. Whilst the size of Towergate undoubtedly helps us secure special rates, as a business we still have to deliver profitable growth. These appointments will help us identify areas to do this without lowering the high level of service quality we provide.”
